Taking them into account, International Education and Cooperation Institute (IEC) – UTH decides to establish Occupational Support Department, in which all Joint program learners at HCMC University of Transport can get consulted and connected to businesses.

Who can join in?

Students of Joint Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree Program at HCMC University of Transport, including:

– Bachelor’s Program in Ports and Logistics Management (jointly conducted with Korea Tongmyong University)

– Bachelor’s Program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (jointly conducted with National Korea Maritime and Ocean University)

– Master’s Program of Logistics and International Shipping (jointly conducted with Southampton Solent University, the UK)

Who are in charge of occupational support?

In Korea (For students of Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program in Logistics ONLY)
Prof. Dr. Seok-hyun, SHIN – Head of Occupational Support Department

Prof. Dr. Seok-hyun, SHIN has had 35+ years of experience in Logistics field and worked in every essential element as a liner, freight forwarder, supportive institute, and scholar. In order to help students better prepare for new demands in Korean human resource in logistics, Dr. Shin is willing to share his experience and skills with both domestic and international students. 

2019 – 2022: Full-time Professor of Dept. of Port Logistics System – Tongmyong University, Busan, Korea

2002 – 2018: Vice President – Universal Sea & Air Co., Ltd., Busan, Korea

2002 – 2018: CEO –  Int’l Logistics Service Co., Ltd., Busan, Korea

1983 – 2001: Chief of Cost control & Dispatch Team – MAERSK Korea Co., Ltd., Busan, Korea

In Vietnam:
Assoc.Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hoa

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hoa has currently worked as: Dean of Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI), Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), Vice President of Viet Nam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA), and Logistics Joint Program Advisor at IEC.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hoa is a big name in the field of Logistics in Vietnam. With her profound knowledge in Logistics and strong connections with businesses in the industry, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hoa is definitely a reliable consultant for joint program learners to share their issues and receive valuable advice for their career development journey.
